Too Long Gone

I’ve realized it’s been way too long since my last post, so I’m back to play. First: some updates.

• I’m working on a new logo for the site (see image)
• I’ve actually made a work portfolio
• I have a new obsession: Supernatural

Logo:

I decided that I wanted to update my logo to show the hair cut I’ve had most commonly for the last 6 years. The current logo shows my hair from a few years ago and that cut was short lived. The faux hawk is more me. I’m still playing with it a bit to get it to look good both big and small, but here is a taste of new vs old:

Portfolio:

My boss has asked me to put together a portfolio of work I’ve done for graphics/social media. It’s something I’ve been meaning to do for a long time, so it was a good kick in the butt to actually go through my files and organize them. Branding has been a big part of my focus, so it was fun to go back and see how well that was done for each company and where I’ve improved over the years.

Supernatural:

So, my newest obsession is inspiring creativity, because I can’t find what I want so I fully plan to make it. I want plushies for the full family of characters, but only Cas, Sam, and Dean are available for purchase. So, I bought two Cas plushies and will be taking one apart and experimenting in making new characters from his pattern.

I admit that I have minor guilt about disassembling one Cas and feel as if they are both staring at me with judge mental and betrayed eyes. I may have to blindfold them while I seam-rip!
